Seiya Suzuki won’t cost a team as much to sign as an MLB free agent and the Rangers can easily fit him into the lineup (The Associated Press/Sue Ogrocki).

Maybe I am trying to oversell this, but Seiya Suzuki should be one of the top targets for the Texas Rangers. He will be posted soon by the Hiroshima Carp.

Yes, yes, yes, they need to go get one of the super shortstops and a couple of starting pitchers. But spending money and spending money wisely are two completely different things.

If you think I am lying go read T.R. Sullivan’s recent memoir about the Rangers’ signing of Chan Ho Park. The Rangers have a chance to sign a young established hitter who doesn’t prevent other signings and is actually versatile. 

Let’s answer the questions that would come with signing someone like Suzuki.
