The one thing everyone seems to want to know about Jack Leiter — how hard he’s throwing — is one of the last things he considers following a bullpen session or live batting practice.

The Texas Rangers’ No. 1 overall prospect is not a big radar-gun guy. He’s more concerned with other characteristics of his pitches and delivery, and is constantly tinkering to make the whole package better.

That’s not to say Leiter doesn’t know how hard he was throwing last week during his first session of live batting practice at the Surprise Recreation Campus in Arizona.
