SURPRISE, Ariz. — The last day of spring training always comes down to the final spots on the Opening Day roster, and that’s if teams are ready to set their rosters.

With the Texas Rangers headed to Toronto after the Cactus League finale, they weren’t going to leave the Surprise Recreation Campus without the 28 players who will be at Rogers Centre on Friday.

So, there was news Tuesday.
