Texas Rangers Newsletter keeps pumping out the content. A paid subscription ensures you won't miss any of it.
T.R.'s Memoirs, Friday on the Farm, The Sunday Read and other premium posts are all included for only $5.99 a month or $60 a year.
Substack knows that for its business to grow it needs its writers’ businesses to grow.
To that end, Substack sends weekly pointers on how writers can grow their subscription bases. The one constant is that writers need to consistently pound away on social media about their products and to remind free subscribers of all the premium content they are missing by not being paid subscribers.
Self-promotion has never been my thing, so hopefully the following doesn’t feel awkward:
Free subscribers, thanks for signing up for the free Jeff Wilson’s Texas Rangers Newsletter that arrives in your email inboxes Monday through Friday. You also receive the occasional free stories we post and are alerted via email for each new episode of the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast (now with a YouTube channel).
However, to get the full experience — like T.R.’s Memoirs, Friday on the Farm and The Sunday Read — you really should upgrade to a paid subscription.
It’s not going to set you back like a subscription to a newspaper would. (By the way, if you’re subscribing to my former employer for baseball coverage, you’re throwing away money.)
We charge $5.99 a month or $60 a year. There is also a Founding Member option that comes with some advertising opportunities on the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast.
The Texas Rangers Newsletter continues to grow only 2 1/2 months into our existence. We want to keep growing so that we can maximize our access (i.e., travel with the Rangers and visit minor-league affiliates).
If you don’t believe me about how great a paid subscription is, which is understandable considering my built-in biases, we’ve had some great reviews from paid subscribers. Take a look:
There are more, but, again, I’m not really into self-promotion. The point, though, is you won’t regret becoming a paid subscriber.
Do so by clicking the subscribe button below or at the top of the story.

This is a solid outlet for Rangers coverage, from the big leagues and throughout the minors. The cost is minimal. The value is off the charts.
Here’s that subscribe button one more time.
