The Recliner Nerd's top 20 Texas Rangers prospects countdown continues as two outfielders hit the list

The rankings debuted Monday with Nos. 16-20, and this group of five also includes two pitchers and a shortstop.

Aaron Zavala got a late start to his first professional season but did well at Low A Down East and in fall instructs (Down East Wood Ducks/Matthew Edwards).

Moving over to the Texas Rangers Baseball Newsletter (TRBN) in 2021 was a big change for me. After three years covering the Rangers for another media outlet I made the jump to join Jeff Wilson and T.R. Sullivan.

Along with co-hosting the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast (TRBP) I am still doing some writing. One of my favorite things I wanted to bring over to TRBN was my annual top 20 prospect countdown. 

As a reminder for my list, any prospect who has played even one day in the big leagues are not eligible. Yes, Sam Huff will not be on my list.
