Taylor Hearn did well to limit the Rockies to one run in four innings. Iffy defense late, though, would prove costly.

Taylor Hearn allowed 10 base runners in four innings, but also allowed only one run in the Rangers’ 2022 home opener (The Associated Press/LM Otero).

ARLINGTON — To clear up any confusion, the final score Monday at Globe Life Field was 6-4.

The run Marcus Semien scored in the 10th inning to make it 6-5 was erased by the double play that the Texas Rangers didn’t think should have been a double play.

Brendan Rodgers wasn’t charged with a throwing error for his throwing error.

Ashton Goudeau picked up his first career save with a scoreless innings, and the Colorado Rockies picked up a win.
