In the long run, if MLB wants to expand to 32 teams, it’s probably best that Vegas and Montreal remain available. If the DH is made universal (please), would it be better for all 32 teams be realigned to ease some of the massive travel time? Or should the league just split into 4 8-team divisions (2 American, 2 National) and go back to a balanced schedule?
"Tanking" is the most overblown "problem" in professional sports. It is wise for a team to go through a rebuilding process occasionally and there is no reason that team should be big spenders when they are in that process.
