Another nice game for the Rangers. It's good to see things starting to click a little bit. It's been hard to watch Gallo at times. He's clearly pressing. He's had some pretty epic moments since joining the Yankees but he needs to be more consistent. Dropping him in the order was a smart move; I never understood that move to the two hole. He looked better last night. I hope it gets him going. It would be fun to have a productive Joey Gallo power the Yankees to the playoffs. Gallo, by the way, is about the only reason I would ever pull for the Yankees.

Any word on what Marc Church’s injury is? And what the status is on his recovery? Thanks.

Elbow inflammation. He's fine now. Throwing bullpen sessions. Probably won't pitch again in games until instructs.

Glad Solak is making progress. Maybe he did “figure” something out in AAA.

As far as Gallo, I think his funk started with the Home Run Derby. He didn’t fare too well and pressed…in front of a ton of people in the stands. Apparently, the Derby has been known to do that sort of thing. The dude strands tons of runners and NY fans are noticing.

“Chill bumps”. Man. I don’t know. Jeter’s speech. Pujols’ return and HR in St Louis. Cruz slugging at his age. Wonder Franco!! But a good at bat? I pass on that terminology.

I haven’t watched the HOF speeches yet, but it’s on my off-day agenda. Love Nellie. Pulling for Gallo. Interesting point about the Derby, but he’s been putting pressure on himself as long as I’ve known him.
