Would love to have him back. What's Dave Parker worth in today's game? That's the impact this player (as he comes into his prime) can have on this team. I realize some will scoff at the comparison but, batting average aside (such is the game today), there's a case for a comp there. My opinion anyway.
The Cobra is a better nickname than Pico de Gallo. Gallo looks to be getting more comfortable, but I need to see it over a larger sample to be convinced he will ever be a fit in New York.
Good Stuff, Jeff. That Gallo presser seemed to be pretty emotional. I like how he's so open and unguarded. He's looking more comfortable, too. But I fear NYC might not be the best place for him. Really enjoying the Newsletter!
The Rangers did get a nice returner Gallo, but as an ex-New Yorker,I had a feeling that Gallo would not fit in there. The fans are extremely demanding and thus so is the press. Would not surprise me if he lasted only a shirt time there.
I admit it…the Gallo thing fascinates me. The guy in New York seemed like an awful match. And think, he was desperate to stay! He’s had one hot stretch for the Yankees—and they kept losing during his run. When he was awful—the team went on a hot streak. Just nuts!
He's definitely one of a kind. I don't see this ending well for him. I mean, he's going to be fine financially, but he would have to have an amazing full 162 under the Yankee pressure to get what Boras apparently tried to shake from the Rangers.
You’re dead on. Mammoth homers aside, he can’t put the ball in play. Personally, I can’t stand his game. By all accounts, he’s a super nice guy so it’s hard not to wish him well. I just hope he’s never in a Rangers uniform again.

Thanks, sir. I was worried about New York all along (and I think he was, too).

He fits the ballpark very well, so I think he'll be in pinstripes next season. Beyond that, I have my doubts.
