When C.J. Nitkowski isn’t calling Texas Rangers games on Bally Sports Southwest, he’s co-hosting the Loud Outs show on MLB Network Radio.
He’s about as plugged in on baseball current events on anyone out there.
With the MLB lockout raging, games canceled and the owners and players seemingly at an impasse, Nitkowski accepted an invitation to join the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast to figure the whole mess out.
He also talked about getting rid of the shift, the Rangers’ pursuit of Clayton Kershaw, what to do with him on Opening Day if he signs, and then talked some about his own playing career and his wife’s chicken parm.
Before Nitkowski signed on, Jeff Wilson and John Moore vented some about the lockout and then about their impending trip to Arizona for the start of minor-league spring training.
