Look at who just turned 20 … episodes old.
The Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast hit the big 2-0 on Thursday and for the occasion we welcomed Evan Carter, who is just 19, to the show. Carter, of course, is one of the Rangers’ top-10 prospects even though he collected only 106 at-bats in his first professional season.
A stress fracture in his lower back turned into a season-ending injury, but Carter is doing all baseball activities some six weeks from the start of spring camp in early March.
His goal for 2022 is pretty obvious: stay healthy.
Carter dives into all things baseball with me and John Moore, including how he responded to the “experts” who panned the Rangers for selecting him 50th overall in the 2020 draft.
He then gets into who he is. Start with being valedictorian of his graduating class, his love for crab legs, and a pretty interesting nugget only people inside his circle know about him.
