Justin Foscue admittedly didn’t have the best day at the office Thursday, going 0 for 5 in an Arizona Fall League game.
Yet, he summoned the energy and found the necessary temperament to put up with me and the Recliner Nerd on the Texas Rangers Baseball Podcast.
The Texas Rangers’ 2020 first-round pick and their No. 4 prospect was the guest on our 10th episode. He talked about his day job, at which he’s very good, and what’s going on in the Rangers’ farm system.
He also talked about Halloween candy, where to eat in Surprise, Ariz., and asked John Moore and I if we were going to ask him about Mississippi State winning the 2021 national championship … the year after he was drafted.
Someone with the podcast dropped the ball.
Before Foscue hopped on, John and I talked about what we saw Tuesday night as the Rangers instructs team took on Dallas Baptist. We also broke down the offseason calendar, which begins in earnest five days after the last out of the World Series.
It was good talk, and it will be a good listen.
